Sustainability

Ethically Sourced, Responsibly Made

We work directly with herders who raise cashmere goats in ethical, low-impact environments, ensuring animal welfare and preserving traditional practices. Our partners follow sustainable grazing techniques that protect fragile grasslands and prevent overgrazing.

Raw Materials - Responsible Cashmere

Cashmere is a natural and biodegradable material, unlike synthetic alternatives (polyester, nylon), it won't shed microplastics and will eventually return to the earth.

Dyeing

BSC has a dedicated laboratory that tests the fastness of dyes to washing, sweat, abrasion, and sunlight, providing high quality at low impact. The dyed materials are then left to rest in 4 sealed chambers for 24 hours, guaranteeing an even distribution of colouring.

Spinning

The spinning mill operates with four technological processes

  1. ‘Combining’- with two dedicated English “Tetum” machines,
  2. ‘Spinning’- using two Italian “Bigagli” machines,
  3. ‘Single + Double winding’ - utilizing two Italian “Savio” machines, and
  4. ‘Twisting’- via an Italian “Geminis” machine with 216 spindles.
Knitting & Weaving

Crafted on precision German Stoll and Italian Complett machines, each garment's gauge is intentionally selected. Our peak achievement is a 24-gauge knit—enabling an ultra-lightweight, pill-resistant fabric. This strategic use of technology guarantees your product to be forever yours, ensuring durability.

Packaging

BSC’s commitment to sustainability is embedded in its DNA, aiming to curb deforestation. Our carefully sourced wood-based packaging is FSC certified, ensuring that these products originate from responsibly managed forests.
